This page explains the editorial principles, guiding principles, and processes that steer The Resistance Hub. Our goal is to ensure all content is accurate, transparent, and trustworthy.
Editorial Process
Articles at The Resistance Hub are created through a combination of human research and AI-assisted tools. Every piece begins with a clear thesis or editorial intent, then sources are gathered, arguments structured, and draft text developed. AI tools may be used during this stage, but no material is ever published automatically.
All content is reviewed, edited, and finalized by a human editor before publication. Longform or collaborative work may also appear under The Resistance Hub Staff byline, reflecting the shared oversight of the editorial team.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
AI tools support the drafting process but do not replace human judgment. They may help organize material, suggest framing, or generate preliminary text, but AI cannot decide what is published, make editorial judgments, or operate the site independently.
All AI contributions are directed through structured editorial prompts, then undergo full human editorial review. Final responsibility for accuracy, sourcing, and neutrality lies entirely with the human editorial team.
Corrections and Updates
We are committed to correcting factual errors promptly and transparently. Substantive updates are noted at the bottom of articles, while smaller edits for clarity or formatting may be made without notation. Readers are encouraged to report errors or submit corrections by contacting us at contact@theresistancehub.com.
When a post is updated, a “last updated” note is added to the article for transparency. Some older posts may not yet reflect all current editorial policies, but they are scheduled for review and refresh to bring them into full compliance.
Guest Contributors
Guest contributions are subject to the same editorial review as internal work. Contributors may choose to publish under their true names or established pen names, particularly for reasons of professional security or privacy. All contributors are credited with a short biography, which appears on the Editorial Team page as well as beneath their published articles.
Public-Domain Sources
Some content on The Resistance Hub is curated from public-domain archives. These texts are included for educational and reference purposes, and are presented in original form whenever possible to preserve their historical integrity. Curated collections are clearly identified to distinguish them from original editorial content.
Use of Images
The Resistance Hub regularly uses AI-generated images to illustrate articles, books, and educational material. This approach provides visual context while keeping the project sustainable, as it is independently funded. AI images are deliberately styled to avoid confusion with documentary photography — for example, through oil-painting effects, silhouettes, or other artistic treatments. When images are photorealistic, they are labeled as AI-generated. We do not use AI imagery to misrepresent events or people, and we avoid techniques that could be considered deceptive.
Reader Contributions and Submissions
The Resistance Hub occasionally considers guest contributions or reader-submitted materials. To maintain editorial integrity and security, we do not accept embedded links in submissions. All sources must be cited in plain text using the Chicago-style format. If a submission is accepted, the editorial staff will manually review and add safe, verified links where appropriate. We do not add affiliate or monetized links to contributed material under any circumstances. This approach ensures both reader security and consistent citation standards.
Update Policy
The Resistance Hub is committed to keeping its material accurate and relevant over time. In addition to correcting errors, we periodically review older content to determine whether updates are needed. Updates may include adding new context, incorporating recent developments, or refining editorial presentation. Significant changes are noted at the bottom of the article, while minor edits for clarity or formatting may be made without notation. Some older posts may not yet reflect all current editorial policies, but they are scheduled for review and refresh to bring them into full compliance.
A small number of posts are subject to prior review by the Department of Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR). For these, substantive content changes are not permitted after publication; only formatting or presentation adjustments may be made to improve readability and accessibility. Former Department of Defense employees are required to submit any relevant written work for DOPSR review before publication, a process designed to ensure that sensitive or classified information is not disclosed.
Conflict of Interest and Independence
The Resistance Hub operates with full editorial independence. We are not affiliated with any government, military, political party, or commercial interest. Editorial decisions are made without outside influence, and contributors are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. We do not publish contributed content that promotes commercial products or services, and we do not add affiliate or monetized links to editorial material.
These policies ensure that The Resistance Hub remains a transparent, accurate, and enduring resource for the study of irregular warfare and resistance.
